This is how my summer "ended."
I have to say that today I have been a bit bothered by all the "Summer is over" posts on Facebook. Listen I get it, we're teachers, tomorrow we go back to school, so yes the days of sleeping late and doing whatever you want, are kind of over, however we still have one whole week without students. Next weekend I will be ready to freak out -if I feel I need to.
Weekend in Review:
Friday:
-Sleeping late.
-Going into school to move some big pieces of furniture (with some help from my friend Katie)
-A quick shopping trip, where I got an awesome deal on some super cute peachy/pink skinny jeans.
-A first visit to the Winter Garden Pizza Company -which wasn't bad, but wasn't like NY pizza.
-And a night out with some awesome friends (in my new peachy/pink skinny jeans).
Saturday :
-Cleaned the house and washed towels & sheets for my company.
-Baked cookies:
Amazing Marble Cookies! They are always a hit!
-Raced to the airport to pick up my friends from California
-Went to Downtown Disney and had dinner at Captain Cookes and finished up at the Boardwalk Bakery.
Today, well it was an early day, meaning that I had to wake up early! My friends are here to go to Disney World so we were up bright and early and headed out around 8am. They checked in and we walked over to Magic Kingdom, it was hot, but not too crowded. We got a lot done, but by 2 o'clock the hotel room was ready and we hopped the monorail back to the Contemporary.
Nice view huh?
I said my good-byes, ran some errands, came home, and along with a few friends decided that the rest of our Sunday evening should be spent in the pool!
Not a bad way to end the weekend.
